BARCELONA vs AS Monaco

A home fixture against Monaco. Normally with them in their position I'd be very hopeful of the win but they have now installed a good manager in Pochettino which changes the game a lot.
We are a home which helps a lot and he has a hard task to firstly expand the squad and get in the quality they require so we need to take advantage while we can.
They have two very good forwards in Haaland and Cunha but at some point they will need to rest them for fitness but I do expect they will start this one. What we need to do is stop the ball getting to them.
Squad wise we have no problems with injuries or suspension so will look closely at who plays this one.

BARCELONA v Tottenham Hotspur

Cup games are never easy as you could be labelled underdog or favourite and either way it is a tag that just doesn't help. At end of day both teams are wanting to win this match and Spurs will not be any different than ourselves and wanting to progress.
The only advantage for me in this match is that we got the luck of the draw and are at home. We need to use that if we can to help us.

Karsdorp is out for us for a couple of matches and Umtiti and Bailey are on cusp of fitness for this one and will likely be rested or on the bench.

Good luck to Spurs and ColinW as we know he is no fool and will be out to get us.

DORTMUND II vs Barcelona B

First run out for the academy b side in the cup and away which is never easy. We face Dortmund which again adds to the difficulty here.
We will obviously be looking to win but need to be extra careful.
Full team available for selection which helps.

Barcelona 1 Luckiest Team Alive (Monaco) 1

Just not sure how this is a draw and how Monaco have stolen a point but they have.
In a game where we out fought the opposition and had nearly two thirds possession we only have a point to show for it.
Stats show that this was a one sided game with not only possession on our side but we had 33 shot to their 15 and we had more shots on target than they had all game!
They committed twice as many fouls and were out of it and somehow snatched a late equaliser in the 90th minute. Gobsmacking is my view and robbed is another.

Off they go thinking wow we didn't lose and yep they didn't but god knows how they didn't. I don't what more we could do apart not concede late on, to win this.
With luck like they have it must be Monaco's year for the title.
